We are currently looking for paddlers for our FCCP dragonboat team this season. We usually have two boats, one for more competitive paddlers and one for novice/recreational paddlers. We practice on Lake Ontario at Sunnyside, south of High Park, mostly on Sunday mornings between 10:00 and 11:30 from mid April to the end of June; no practices on the long weekends. We compete only at the Toronto International Dragonboat Race Festival on Centre Island during the weekend of June 17-18, 2017. Paddlers must be available for most practices and both days of the race weekend. The fee to participate is approximately $150. Life jackets and wood paddles are provided. Our team is about fun, fitness and friendships. If you are interested in trying out for our team, please contact us at fccp_dragon_warriors@yahoo.ca , preferably before the end of January. Space is limited.
