<p class="p6"><span class="s1"><b>Job Description of Family Physicians</b></span></p>
<p class="p6"><span class="s1">Provide primary care to individuals and their families taking into account risk factors (environmental, social, psychological and medical) in a manner which can be understood by the client, and when applicable, their families </span></p>
<p class="p6"><span class="s1">Perform clinical duties by seeing and assessing client for routine health and illness care, prescribing treatment, during scheduled hours of service.</span></p>
<p class="p6"><span class="s1">Work with the health care systems, to support the health needs of clients and community groups obtained through client encounters and other community contacts </span></p>
<p class="p6"><span class="s1">Ensure appropriate, comprehensive treatment is delivered by maintaining complete and accurate medical records, and answering client inquiries and directing them to or providing appropriate treatment.</span></p>
<p class="p6"><span class="s1">Maintain and develop professional competence through appropriate continuing education (i.e., peer interaction, literature review, conferences, courses, continuous learning) </span></p>

<b>Qualifications:</b></span></p>
<p class="p6"><span class="s1">Medical degree and family medicine residency from a recognized university </span></p>
<p class="p6"><span class="s1">Certification in Family Medicine (CCFP) </span></p>
<p class="p6"><span class="s1">License to practice from the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons </span></p>
<p class="p6"><span class="s1">Broad knowledge, background; and interest in the practice of family medicine </span></p>
<p class="p6"><span class="s1">Excellent communications and interpersonal skills </span></p>
<p class="p6"><span class="s1">Experience in primary care settings (community-based preferred) </span></p>
<p class="p6"><span class="s1">Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment </span></p>
<p class="p6"><span class="s1">Ability to work days, evenings and on Saturdays</span></p>
